We're anchored in the tradition of exceptional Swiss chocolate-making, dating back to 1852 — and in a deep understanding of how texture shapes taste. Our partner Maestrani has been making chocolate in Switzerland since then, and was the first Swiss factory to produce organic, fair-trade chocolate.

regenerative organic farming

We believe in leaving things better than we found them. That’s why we only use Regenerative Organic Certified® cocoa – the highest standard in agriculture. Through our partner farms, we’ve added more carbon in the soil, more shade overhead, more resilience for the families we work with. And we’re just getting started.

fair trade, for life.

Magic is Fair for Life certified, a program overseen by the international certifier Ecocert. That means the price we pay for cocoa runs 15% above the conventional market, with a floor beneath it, so a bad market year never lands on a farmer’s family. An additional 10% goes into a community fund – roughly $80,000 a year – that farming regions direct themselves toward schools, clinics, and infrastructure. Because the people who live and work there should decide where those funds will create the most impact. Not us.

Every Magic bar is made without added dairy. We use oat milk for our milk chocolate because it brings the sweetness and creaminess of cow’s milk with a lighter footprint. Most people don’t notice until we tell them. And that’s the point.
