We ship chocolate the way chocolate should be shipped — with temperature control, and sometimes with a cold pack when temps are warm. That can add a day or two, and in the warmest months we may hold orders to ship early in the week so nothing sits in a truck over a weekend. This magic is worth the wait.
If your chocolate arrives melted, damaged, or not right in any way, tell us within 30 days and we'll replace it for you. No need to send it back.
All Magic Chocolate bars are made with Regenerative Organic Certified® cocoa and coconut sugar. This global standard keeps us and our farming partners responsible for maintaining high soil health, using climate-friendly practices, ensuring fair trade, and supporting animal welfare.
At first bite I found it hard and chalky but paired with a hot tea or coffee it’s delightful
Thanks so much for the 5-star review! We’re glad you enjoyed it with tea or coffee! The hard, chalky texture may have been from some blooming, so we’d love to send you a replacement for a better experience. Please reach out with your order details and we’ll take care of you!
I got the cool peppermint creme and was disappointed as there was no creme. With 70% dark chocolate and 9g of sugar it is a healthier alternative.
And the serving size on the label is confusing. It says 3 servings but then says serving size is 1/2 bar.
It is hard to make good vegan chocolate. If you are looking for a non vegan chocolate taste and texture, you may be disappointed. That being said this was an enjoyable treat that would certainly satisfy a sweet tooth.
Magic Chocolate cool peppermint cream has a smooth chocolate coating with a refreshing peppermint flavor. The mint has a nice cool finish without overpowering the chocolate. I enjoyed the creamy texture and convenient bar size for a quick sweet treat.
I thought these were really good. I purchased the cool peppermint creme and thought it had nice flavor. I thought the price was reasonable as well. I would recommend
Magic Chocolate has so many interesting flavors that I would love to try. I went with the Cool Peppermint Creme. It was really good. I like the dark chocolate. It's not too bitter and the peppermint is overpowering. The use of coconut sugar is different in the best way too.
These are very unique chocolate bars. I love the interesting flavors and tastes. I’m a big fan of their truffle bars as well! A little pricey but worth it.
The name on the cover tells you about. Its defenetly magic. The flavors are real. I would like to try all the flavors and make my final decision, but its defenatly my new favorite.
I am not a big fan of dark chocolate and this tastes very much like dark chocolate. I understand it's vegan, though. Besides the strong cocoa taste, the other ingredients make it taste good.
The chocolate is very yummy and I like the ingredient list. It is great for vegans to enjoy some yummy chocolate! It tastes quite like a normal chocolate bar!
This chocolate bar has a mild and creamy mint filling but I thought the chocolate itself was dry and chalky tasting. It was too much like a baking chocolate, not as smooth or creamy as a dessert chocolate should taste. The packaging is attractive though!
I am very happy and satisfied with what I got, it’s smooth , tasty , perfect to have it as snack or with coffee definitely will buy it again, i highly recommend.
Love these bars because they’re tick and sturdy. I live in a hot climate and I hate buying bars of chocolate that are thin because they melt so easily. These hold up well in the fridge too.
These taste like a pretty high quality chocolate, and they're not just plant-based but also made with fair trade and regeneratively farmed ingredients. I tried two varieties:
Cool Peppermint Cream - very smooth and creamy. I love the level of sweetness and that the peppermint flavor is not overwhelming.
Salted Dark Chocolate - it has a satisfying snap, especially when refrigerated (that is, it doesn't melt too easily), but it's way too salty to the point of being unpleasant, in my opinion. I still give 5 stars because I think the good outweighs the bad. I would have gotten a different flavor if the store carried any more than just these two flavors.
This was my first time trying this product and athough I don't have much of a sweet tooth, I was very happy with it. Good flavor not too sweet or tart. I also appreciate that the bar was scored so it's easy to take an appropriate serving.
I really enjoyed the various tastes and texture of this chocolate. Despite being free of dairy, there was no sacrifice to flavor and texture. The chocolate was incredibly smooth and not overly sweet.
I haven’t seen this brand before and I am surprised because I only prefer refined sugar free and dairy free chocolate! It has good quality enough amount of sweetness. I tried salted dark chocolate and peppermint. They both are so goood
Magic Chocolate Vegan Chocolate Bars are incredible! So rich, smooth, and perfectly sweet without any dairy. It completely satisfies my chocolate cravings. A must-buy!
The chocolate is good andnrich but we got peppermint and the peppermint was very strong and over poweringi believe the other flavors would be good
This chocolate is delicious; however, I wish I would’ve gotten two of the one I like, but it’s a great way to try different flavors. The cool peppermint crème is
10 out of 10. I love mint chocolate so this one knocked it out of the park for me. The smooth coconut praline was just okay.
Rich, smooth, and surprisingly indulgent. Loved every flavor—great texture and satisfying sweetness without feeling heavy. A perfect vegan treat.
Delicious chocolate bar! I don’t think you can ever go wrong with chocolate and mint and if you can, I won’t know because this was outstanding!
I gave this a try. It was pretty good. It had great flavor pretty good ingredients. Wish I had all the less sugar worth giving it a try for something different.
This brand is made thoughtfully with high quality organic ingredients. One thing that would be great Is if they also offered a low-sugar variety.
i got the peppermint flavor and it reminds me of thin mints and york patties which are things i missed as a vegan. it also put me in the holiday mood and would be a good choice for christmas.
I didn't care for these. The flavor was not very sweet, and the texture was kind of dry. I tried the mint, which I'd normally love, but with the chocolate, which wasn't very good, the mint didn't help it any. They were also extremely expensive for something that wasn't good. I wouldn't purchase them.
Love how it tastes and also love how easy it was to find in my local grocery store. Open to try other flavors as well if I come across them again!
I loved the Magic Chocolate bars! I tried the peppermint creme and it was so cool and refreshing. I will definitely buy this chocolate bar again.
Well I love a good mint flavored chocolate. I was underwhelmed and a little sad. It seemed to be a fake flavor. The chocolate tasted good until the aftertaste
Hit. The inclusion of flavor hit the mark.
These chocolate bars were very good. I tried the hazelnut and peppermint since that is what my store had - would have liked to try the plain dark chocolate one. Tasted very smooth even with other flavors/ingredients.
I love the pepermint chocolate. The flavor is smooth and fun. I like that it is a cleaner way to enjoy chocolate with good ingredients, It is an expensive treat but good for every once in a while.
I tried both the cool peppermint creme and smooth coconut praline. They were a little chalky-tasting but otherwise very good. I liked them both!
For centuries, the Swiss have been hard at work putting their legendary precision and thirst for innovation to the ultimate good: chocolate. In the 1800s, the invention of conching helped give Swiss chocolate its signature melt-in-your-mouth texture. We’ve carried that tradition forward with our partners at Maestrani, who have been making chocolate since 1852, to create a chocolate recipe that’s smooth, creamy, and just right. After plenty of hard work – and more than a few taste tests – it’s finally your turn to enjoy the results.
All Magic Chocolate products are certified fair trade under the Fair for Life program, which is overseen by the respected international certifier, Ecocert.
“Fair trade” means that the prices paid to farmers, as well as the wages & working conditions of farm & factory workers, are fair. For example, the price we pay cocoa farmers for their cocoa crops is 15% higher than the conventional price. In case of low market prices, at least the fair trade minimum price is paid. This safety net assures that costs of production are always covered, and that the farmer earns an income, and enables them to meet their basic needs, such as good food & accommodation, schooling, the ability to participate in social life, and provisions for times of need. An additional 10% is paid into a fair trade fund (estimated $80,000 per year, on average) for community development projects in education, healthcare & infrastructure. These are just a few of the many ways we ensure true fair trade partnerships with farmers & workers.
Regenerative Organic Certified® is the highest holistic gold standard for agricultural integrity in the world. It goes beyond avoiding harm to actively healing ecosystems through three interconnected pillars:
Yes! All Magic Chocolate flavors are gluten free. Our chocolate bars are certified gluten-free (to 10 ppm gluten or less), in accordance with the standards set by the GFCO.
There is no risk of cross-contamination potential. Our chocolate is not manufactured on processing equipment that is also exposed to gluten products.
Yes! Every Magic bar is made without added dairy. We use oat milk for our milk chocolate because it brings the sweetness and creaminess of cow’s milk with a lighter footprint. Most people don’t notice until we tell them. And that’s the point.
Hazelnuts and Almonds are present in some of our products. Additionally, some Magic products are made on equipment that also process milk and soy. Check each product's ingredient list to ensure no allergens that may affect you are present.
Our products are kosher but not halal.
It's important to us to use high quality organic ingredients that leave the earth better off than we found it. We use Regenerative Organic Certified® cocoa and sugar that meets demanding requirements for ecology and soil fertility with provisions for climate protection, Fair Trade practices, and animal welfare. These high standards are the reason our products are slightly more expensive.
Proper storage is crucial to preserving the quality and flavor of chocolate. Magic Chocolate should be stored in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and strong odors at a temperature range of 65–75°F (18–23°C) for optimal texture and taste. Though storing your chocolate in the fridge technically extends its shelf life, it can decrease the quality of its taste and texture. When you eat it, refrigerated chocolate will not melt as easily or smoothly, and the cocoa butter can bloom if allowed to warm to room temperature after being chilled. Additionally, storing chocolate in the fridge for an extended period allows for the smells of other foods to negatively impact the chocolate.
Chocolate is a very shelf-stable product and doesn’t “go bad” the way other foods do. Properly stored dark chocolate usually will retain its full flavor for about two years at room temperature, and oatmilk chocolate will continue to taste delicious for 18 months to 2 years. Our truffle bars stay creamy and fresh for 12 months.
After the printed “best if used by” date, the chocolate isn’t harmful to eat, but it may not taste as fresh or flavorful as it once did and chocolate bloom is more likely to appear.
We’re sorry that you experienced this. Melting is natural and happens to all chocolate at some point. If your Magic Chocolate has melted, the best thing to do is enjoy it gooey rather than cooling or attempting to re-solidify it. We recommend dipping your favorite fruits, nuts, or cookies into the melted chocolate or drizzling it on yogurt, ice cream, or even popcorn. A partially melted bar offers a great opportunity for baking cookies or brownies.
If your chocolate arrived melted, that's on us. Get in touch and we'll make it right.

Magic Chocolate is an emulsion of fats and solids: Regenerative Organic Certified® cocoa butter and cocoa solids paired with organic sugar. These ingredients are carefully mixed and cooled by our master chocolatiers at Maestrani in Switzerland to create a stable crystalline structure in a process called tempering. Tempering is what gives chocolate a beautiful shine, a snappy crunch, and a creamy mouthfeel that melts evenly on the tongue.
White film or dull streaks on chocolate products are common occurrences known as chocolate or cocoa butter bloom. Bloom is the result of the chocolate’s crystalline structure breaking down, causing the cocoa butter to rise to the surface and create a lighter coloration and the subtle changes in taste and mouth feel. This can occur when chocolate has experienced major shifts in temperature, such as when it is transported from a temperature-controlled grocery store to a warm car and then into an air-conditioned house. Fully melted chocolate that is rapidly cooled often develops an opaque layer of white cocoa butter on the surface of the bar. Bloom can even occur in chocolate products that have been handled and stored responsibly.
Bloomed chocolate is perfectly safe to eat, but it may not be as flavorful or creamy. We suggest repurposing melted chocolate as a dipping sauce or drizzle, or as an ingredient in baking recipes. While chocolate does not continue to bloom at a rapid rate, we suggest using it within a month or two of the initial bloom.
